«Over the mountains of the moon, down the valley of the shadow» – The songs by Mercier & Grand are about the ups and downs of an active inner life, a kind of electro-pop road trip as a contemporary answer to Franz Schubert’s romantic song cycle Winterreise. The songs were written for Cosima Grands’ current dance piece “Hitchhiking through Winterland”. Performed as a concert, they are a world premiere!
