How do you do? #5: Positioning

auawirleben invites eleven theater and dance professionals from different language regions in Switzerland to Bern under the header «How do you do?». In a six-day residence, they have the chance to deal intensively with a question which is important for their daily work. This year’s topic «Positioning» asks to what extent artists of today have to position themselves in their work – between dance and theater, between right and wrong, between autonomy and adaptation. How do you position yourself? Is it always possible and sensible to take a clear stance? And are such decisions helpful or do they create unnecessary boundaries?
